One meaning of life

As though we seem to have many options to find something to care about, it isn’t easy. Ironically, the amount of options plays a direct part in the quest.

The capacity to edit what is really important in our lives got even more valuable in the last decades and may be one of the secrets to a better life.

Last Sunday, I got together with my family in my parent’s house: my brother, sister-in-law, and nephew were in town for the holidays and, for some weekends, we could enjoy each other’s company.

The kids seem to bring the family together with more power and intensity. It’s a reason and a duty to gather everybody. And it feels so good to watch and help the kids grow as our parents did with us. My father wrote such a nice message on the family WhatsApp group at the end of the day. He remembered good moments with us in the past, moments in which he noticed us as ourselves, not only children... maybe more than children. Or children and more. So beautiful.

Relationships are a great reason to live. And the potential connection of a family takes that to a higher level. But we need to live it.

Meaning is something you act. On this last Sunday, I could act a meaning of life.
