Project management
I have worked with project management even before I acquired my bachelor's degree in Advertising and worked as a creative director and president of a junior advertising agency in Brazil.
Since then, I have gotten my PMP-PMI®, ACP-PMI® and PSPO I™ certifications. I have gathered some highlight projects in my career on this web page. But there are many more.
CAD 4,000,000 system and hardware integration
Challenge: to lead 3 companies in a hardware and software integration project.
Barriers: 3 different companies, different teams in the client (IT, operations, supervision, maintenance), tight schedule.
Results: we integrated sensors in 26 different substation power transformers and delivered 4 software management modules.
Summary: We integrated different client teams into a unique project for online asset monitoring. The project demanded a joint effort to create a new area of expertise for asset monitoring. We faced a series of field integration challenges but overcame them all.
International operation start-up
Challenge: acquire new partners to resell mission-critical systems in Asian countries.
Barriers: language, culture, competition.
Result: in the first year, the operation was slightly profitable and grew until COVID-19.
Summary: we were able to structure new commercial contacts in India, the Phillippines, and Indonesia in record time. After the initial meetings, we structured a remote training operation that was concluded on-site in Brazil. Our Asian partners spent a week getting to know our systems and getting ready to sell our solutions.
Ad agency branch opening
Challenge: open a new branch of an ad agency in a new city.
Barriers: competition, lack of commercial contacts, no team.
Result: in a couple of months, we managed to hire a new team, and in six months, the operation was self-sustainable.
Summary: I was initially invited to open and lead an ad agency's Rio de Janeiro branch from Brasilia. We hired a creative team and fought for the primary account to sustain the operation. We got some smaller clients and increased the company size along the way. Once the job was done, I became the creative director of both branches one year later.
Financial program management
Challenge: conduct financial registers and audits for the program Água Brasil, from WWF-Brazil.
Barriers: connect different environmental project expenses.
Result: the accounts were continually updated accordingly to the demands of the sponsor company.
Summary: program Água Brasil was sponsored by the Bank of Brazil to support various environmental initiatives from different WWF-Brazil teams. We had to keep track of 5 project expenses to guarantee future financial contributions. We did that by maintaining contact communication with the teams and planning and performing financial audits.
Marketing event
Challenge: to lead the participation of 3 companies in a marketing event (SENDI 2016) in São Paulo, Brazil.
Barriers: 3 different stakeholders, remote management.
Result: we presented the new solution to the market during the event, gathering significant prospects for future demo presentations.
Summary: We participated in an electrical market event to present a new software solution and structure company partnerships. At this event, we structured a booth with 2 partners to launch our FLISR (Fault, Location, Isolation and Service Restoration) solution to the electrical market. I was responsible for communicating with stakeholders, creating the project plan, structuring the budget, managing risks, structuring the booth with an event company, obtaining financial closure and structuring lessons learned documents.
